As I look back on this past year, I am struck by the way behavioral health continues to grow and is becoming increasingly recognized as essential—especially in these challenging times. Leaders and policymakers nationally are realizing the importance of addressing mental health needs along treating physical symptoms. I find this new understanding encouraging and trust they will continue to expand services to meet the need.
As Board Chair of EHN working with leaders at every level of the organization has been a pleasure. The leaders and all EHN employees work on behalf of people in our community who often do not have a voice; especially individuals who may not have easy access to essential supports and services. This unwavering commitment is for these individuals that my fellow trustees and the EHN staff have committed their considerable talents and energies.
As I have reflect back on my tenure on the Board of Trustees, I am truly impressed with the way EHN has balanced the increased the depth and breadth of service offerings while not sacrificing a deep commitment to quality. I thank each and every individual who has played a part in EHN’s achievements throughout the year and wish everyone continued success.
